I have compiled a listing of animal rescue centers and animal shelters in New York. It is by no means a complete listing, so I invite you to submit one that you are affiliated with. I am passionate about rescuing pets, so have made an exception to the normal submission guidelines for this directory. If the only site your rescue or shelter has is a subdomain or subpage of a larger website (such as petfinder.com or animalshelters.org) I will still approve it, as long as the shelter includes dogs.
Scroll down, and see the four randomly selected dogs available for adoption in New York, then continue scrolling for a listing of the available shelters.
