Finnish Lapphund Club of America
The Finnish Lapphund Club of America (FLCA) was established in 2004 to promote AKC recognition. They were successful, first with recognition in the Miscellaneous group in 2008, and finally to the breed's final spot in the Herding group in 2011.
German Shepherd Dog Club of America

Norwegian Buhund Club of America
The Norwegian Buhund Club of America was formed in 1983 as a Specialty Club devoted to protecting the interests of the Norwegian Buhund. In January 2006, the Norwegian Buhund was accepted into the AKC's Miscellaneous Class, and the Norwegian Buhund Club of America was accepted as the Parent Club. Recognition in the Herding group occurred in 2009.
Old English Sheepdog Club of America
The Old English Sheepdog Club of America is an AKC-Member Club, recognized as the National breed Club. The Club is dedicated to responsible Old English Sheepdog ownership and to preserving and protecting the Old English Sheepdog breed.
Pembroke Welsh Corgi Club of America
The Pembroke Welsh Corgi Club of America (PWCCA) was founded on February 12, 1936 at a meeting held at Madison Square Garden in New York City at the time of a Westminster Kennel Club show. The PWCCA has always been dedicated to the protection of not only its own breed, but also all purebred dogs.
American Polish Lowland Sheepdog Club
The American Polish Lowland Sheepdog Club [once called the American Polski Owczarek Nizinny Club (APONC)] changed its name when the Polish Lowland Sheepdog was recognized by AKC in 2001 and the name was changed to its English translation.
Puli Club of America
The Puli Club of America is the national breed club for the Puli and a member of the American Kennel Club. The purpose of this site is to serve our members' needs and to provide everyone with information about the Puli - a very special Hungarian sheep herding dog.
Pyrenean Shepherd Club of America
The Pyrenean Shepherd Club of America was established in 1987 by a small group of Pyr Shep fanciers whose goal was to protect individual Pyrenean Shepherds and preserve the original breed type. In 2009, the American Kennel Club fully recognized the breed and admitted Pyrenean Shepherds to the Herding Group.
American Shetland Sheepdog Association
The American Shetland Sheepdog Association (ASSA) was founded in 1929 at the Westminster Kennel Club show. ASSA remains committed to protecting and advancing the interests of the Shetland Sheepdog breed.
Swedish Vallhund Club of America
Initially called the Swedish Vallhund Enthusiasts Club (SVEC), this organization was founded in 1987. In 1994, the Club name was changed to Swedish Vallhund Club of America (SVCA). In 1997 it was determined to begin the process of achieving AKC recognition for the breed, which was achieved in 2007.
