Animal Shelter of the Wood River Valley
Our goal is to safely house any adoptable dog, cat, or 'pocket pet' until a loving home is found for the animal. The Board defines adoptable as any Shelter animal over the age of eight weeks that are healthy, treatable or rehabilitatable. Animals under the age of 8 weeks old will be kept in foster care prior to becoming adoptable. The Board does authorize euthanasia for animals which are terminally ill or dangerous.
