Adams County Humane Society (ACHS) is a smaller facility with 1 full time and 3 part time employees. We do not euthanize for space, no healthy well disposition animals are ever euthanized . We have taken many animals who were very afraid of people and showed them how loved and safe they are here with us and now they are living in their loving forever homes.

The Clark County Humane Society is dedicated to the care and adoption of cats and dogs. A wonderful group of over 550 members, our goal is to assist the lost, surrendered, unwanted, and unloved cats and dogs of the area. We care for them as if they were our own beloved pets while we search for their rightful owners, or try to find them a suitable new home. All of our volunteers are so very proud that we are one of the few no-kill shelters in the state!

Elmbrook Humane Society does not euthanize animals unless they are too dangerous to be made available for adoption or have serious behavior issues that cannot safely or successfully be rehabilitated and adopted into a new home. We work hard to take in as many animals as possible from animal control facilities like MADACC where there is no formal adoption program so that we can provide a second chance to as many animals as possible.

Gregory's was founded in September of 2003 when a beautiful Golden Retriever, who we named Sunny, was found by a passerby laying almost motionless upon the side of a rural county road in the rain. The good Samaritan called us by finding our name under boarding kennels in the phone book and asking us for assistance. We, being animal lovers, could not do anything but help this precious 4 legged friend.
